System Update - May 2021 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Dashboard:

  • Ticket Activity Boxes
    • By default, we now show 12 boxes and there is a button to show all boxes if needed.

Settings:

  • Template Editor
    • R​​​​​eceipts
      •  POS Receipt
        • [Customer_Address] - New Tag
          • We have added a new tag called "[Customer_Address]" which will display just the customer address.
    • Labels
      • Shipping Label
        • We have added a new tag called "[IMG_LOGO]" which will display the shop's logo.
    • Ticket
      • Ticket Terms and Condition Hard Copy (PDF/DOC)
        • You can now upload a physical file for the ticket terms and condition, once uploaded it will be available in the "Documents" section of the tickets in the customer portal.

Franchise Account:

  • Request Stock
    • You can now "Request Stock" from the f​​​​​​ranchise account as well. There is an additional step where you have to choose the "Request for" shop and the remaining process is the same as the shop one.
  • Ticket Activity Boxes

Estimates:

  • VAT/TAX Based on the Customer
    • If the customer has "VAT" configured then the vat rate will be automatically applied to all the line items, even if the product is set to 0 rated VAT.

Tickets:

  • Create Bulk Tickets
    • We have added the following 2 new fields in each ticket line so you can assign them to the technician and choose the ticket status at the same time if needed.
      • Technician
      • Ticket Status
  • Ticket Activity Boxes
    • By default, we now show 12 boxes and there is a button to show all boxes if needed.
  • Import Ticket Time Log Entries
    • We have added an option to import ticket timer entries via a csv file. The import works the same way as the other imports and there is a sample file as a reference. This will allow you to import data from external applications.
    • You can also export all the existing ticket timer entries if needed.
    • We have also added a flag so you know where the data has been added from e.g. Manual Entry, API or imported.
  • Intake Form - CNP
    • You can now email the CNP intake form directly from the ticket interface, please note that the option to generate the CNP form was already there but now you can email the customer directly from the same interface and it will be stored in the documents tab.
  • VAT/TAX Based on the Customer
    • If the customer has "VAT" configured then the vat rate will be automatically applied to all the line items, even if the product is set to 0 rated VAT.

Customer Manager:

  • VAT/TAX Based on the Customer
    • You can now set tax rate per customer as well. If the tax has been set against a customer then the system will priorities that else whatever is set with the product.
  • Customer Import/Export
    • We have added a new column called "VATPercentage" to configure/set the customer tax rate in the customer import and export process.
  • Customer Activity Boxes
    • The customer activity boxes now have the POS invoices data as well.

Product Manager:

  • Stock Info Tab
    • We have added a new button called "Show All Stock Serials" which will list all the serials related to this product sold/unsold.
  • Serialize Stock
    • You can now enable disable serialize stock flag on the basis that there is no serials have been generated. If so then you will have to delete the serialize stock first and then the system will let you change the flag.
  • Print Barcode/Labels
    • Price Excluding VAT
      • We have added a new element to show "Price Excluding VAT" on your product labels.

Logistics Manager

  • Item Lines
    • We have added item lines data with each ticket and pos order which will make it easier to understand what needs shipping. Please note that there is already a link that takes you to the order detail page.

Shop Users:

  • Timer Clock Log
    • We have added an option to import time clock entries via a csv file. The import works the same way as the other imports and there is a sample file as a reference. This will allow you to import data from external applications.

  • Shop User Activity Boxes

  • Recurring Invoices
    • VAT/TAX Based on the Customer
      • If the customer has "VAT" configured then the vat rate will be automatically applied to all the line items, even if the product is set to 0 rated VAT.
  • Ticket Invoices
    • Technician Column
      • We have added a new column called "Technician" when we list the invoices and in the following exports as well.
        • Copy
        • CSV
        • Excel
        • PDF
        • Print

Customer Portal:

  • Customer Activity Boxes
    • The customer activity boxes now have the POS invoices data as well.

API Interface:

  • Shop
    • We have added the following new endpoints related to the staff time clock. It will perform the following actions.
      • /TimeClockMember - New Endpoint
        • GET - This will list all the time clock entries.
        • PUT - This will allow you to update existing time clock entries.
        • DELETE - This will allow you to delete existing time clock entries.
      • /TimeClockCollection - New Endpoint
        • GET - This will list all the time clock entries.
        • POST - This will allow you to add new time clock entries.
  • Tickets
    • We have added the following new endpoints related to the ticket timer. It will perform the following actions.
      • /TimerMember - New Endpoint
        • GET - This will list all the ticket timer entries.
        • PUT - This will allow you to update existing ticket timer entries.
        • DELETE - This will allow you to delete existing ticket timer entries.
      • /TimerCollection - New Endpoint
        • GET - This will list all the ticket timer entries.
        • POST - This will allow you to add new ticket timer entries.
  • Customers
    • We have added the customer tax rate field in the customer API as well.
      • /CustomerMemner
        • GET - We have added a new element called "vat" which will list the vat/tax rate of the customer if configured.
        • PUT - We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate"  to set the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.
      • /CustomerCollection
        • GET - We have added a new element called "vat" which will list the vat/tax rate of the customer if configured.
        • POST - We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate"  to set the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.

3rd-Party Integration:

  • MailChimp Changes
    • We have added the 3 new variables in the "MGR Fields".
      • Customer's Shop Name
      • Customer's Shop ID
      • Customer VAT
    • When you change the list id "Audience" the system will automatically perform and re-sync and all the customer's will be sent to the new "Audience".
    • Additional Logs
      • Mailchimp integration now logs additional data when it's failed to sync which will enable you to rectify the error.
  • Zapier Changes - 1.3.1
    • We have made the following changes in Zapier.
      • Triggers
        • New Ticket Time Log - New
          • This trigger will list all the newly created ticket time logs.
        • New Time Clock - New
          • This trigger will list all the newly created time clock entries.
        • New Customer
          • We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate" which allow you to configure/set the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.
      • Actions
        • Create Ticket Time Log - New
          • This action will allow you to create a new ticket time log entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data to MGR.
        • Update Ticket Time Log - New
          • This action will allow you to update the existing ticket time log entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data to MGR.
        • Delete Ticket Time Log - New
          • This action will allow you to delete the  existing ticket time log entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data to MGR.
        • Create Time Clock Entry - New  
          • This action will allow you to create a new time clock entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data to MGR.
        • Update Time Clock Entry - New
          • This action will allow you to update the existing time clock entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data to MGR.
        • Delete Time Clock Entry - New
          • This action will allow you to delete the existing time clock entry, this action is very useful when you are trying to push the external data.
        • Create Customer
          • We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate"  to set the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.
        • Update Customer
          • We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate"  to update the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.
        • Search Customer
          • We have added a new field called "VAT/TAX Rate" which allow you to configure/set the vat/tax rate of the customer if needed.
