System Update - June 2021 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Dashboard:

  • KPI Dashboard
    • We have added the ticket data by statuses which are presented in a graph to make it easier to understand.

Settings:

  • General > Customer Purchase VAT/TAX
    • We have separated the "Customer Purchase" VAT/TAX as some shops may not want to use the default VAT/TAX rate for the "Customer Purchase".
  • Product > Sell Other Shop's Serialised Stock
    • This option will allow you to sell other shop's serialized stock, in such a case we will show the "Move Stock" option to allow the user to move the stock from shop A to shop B. Both shop's managers will be notified via email so they know who is responsible to send the goods.
  • Mailboxes > Rules
    • We have added the option called "Run Now" to run the rule manually if needed.
    • We have added an option to "Copy Rule", this will save time when you want to create different rules but the field mapping is the same.
    • We have added an option to specify a "Delimiter", the default value is "Carriage return".
    • We have added a column called "Last Attempted At" which will be updated when the rule was successfully matched.
    • We have also added a new option called "Pre Populated" next to each field when you do the mapping, this option works as the default value, you may need to set something as a default.
  • Customer > Customer Portal
    • We have separated the "Customer Portal" options in a new section and we have also added a few more options to allow you to customize the portal further. The followings are the options.
      • Show Tabs
        • You can choose which tabs to show on the "Customer Portal".
      • Customer Portal Logo
        • To control the logo we have added the following options.
          • Shop Logo: This will show the shop logo, this is the default option.
          •  Customer Photo:  This option will show the customer photo. 
          • None: This option will be used when you don't want to show anything.
      • Show Activity Boxes
        • This option will be used to hide the activity boxes on the "Customer Portal".
      • Show Company Based Data
        • This option will allow you to show all the data related to one "Company" e.g. one customer of the same company will be able to see all the data of their company.
      • Show Custom Fields in Repair History
        • You can now show the repair custom fields when we list all the repairs.
      • Custom Fields in Repair History
        • You can also choose which custom fields to show when we list all the repairs.
  • Template Editor
    • We have added the option to create additional templates, this will allow you to add and save your own templates. The followings are the templates you can add additional templates for.
      • Email Wrapper Template
      • Invoice Template
      • Receipts Templates
      • Label Templates
      • Document Templates
      • Forms Templates
      • Compose Letter Templates
      • Customer Display Template
      • POS Customer Display Template
      • Repair SLA Template
      • Repair Preset Guide Template
      • Picking Slip Template
    • You can also add the template name when you create additional templates which will make it easier when you are creating the customer based templates.

Estimates:

  • Short Info
    • We have added a new column called "Short Info" when we list the estimate, the same column has been added in all the exports as well.
  • Estimate Receipt
    • The estimate receipt is now customer and company based, if a template is assigned to a customer or company then the system will print that rather than the default one.

Tickets:

  • Sell Other Shop's Serialised Stock
    • If "Sell Other Shop's Serialised Stock" is enabled then the system will allow you to sell other shop's serialized stock, in such a case we will show the "Move Stock" option to allow the user to move the stock from the shop A to shop B. Both shop's managers will be notified via email so they know who is responsible to send the goods.
  • Comments Slider
    • We have added ticket comments as a slider just below the "Add Comments" section. Please note that the "Comments" tab is intact.
  • Estimate from Ticket
    • When you create an estimate from the ticket, we now carry the ticket item lines to the estimates automatically so you don't need to add them again to the estimate.

Customer Manager:

  • Customer-Based Templates
    • We are now in the process of allowing you to choose the customer based templates, currently, we have only added this in the "Estimates" but gradually all of the templates will be customer based. We have added a new tab called "Templates" on the customer creation/modifying process. Once the template is selected then the system will use that.

Product Manager:

  • Add Product
    • You can now add stock in the decimal as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • Modify Product
    • You can now add stock in the decimal as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • Import Products
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "StockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes"

Stock Manager:

  • Stock Request > New Request
    • We have added 2 new columns called "Cost" and "Total Cost" so you can see the current rate and the total amount.
  • Add Stock
    • You can now add stock in the decimal as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • Modify Stock
    • You can now add stock in the decimal as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".

Sales:

  • POS Sales
    • We have added the option to change the "Salesperson" on a POS order.
  • Ticket Invoices
    • We have added "Payment Dates" in the search criteria form.

Reports:

  • Product Report
    • We have added a new field called "Stock Available" in the search which will allow you to just show the products that have available stock.
    • If the product's "Inventory Control" is set as "No" then on the report we will show "N/A" and the stock value will be 0.

Customer Portal:

  • The following changes have been done on the customer portal. Please choose the settings via the Shop Settings > Customer > Customer Portal.
  • Show Tabs
    • We ONLY show the ones you have chosen.
  • Customer Portal Logo
    • The logo will be shown based on the following options.

    • The columns will be shown based on what you selected in the shop settings.

POS Interface:

  • /products - POST
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "stockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • /products/{productId} - PUT
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "stockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • /stock - POST
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "stockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".
  • /stock /{productId} - PUT
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "stockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes".

3rd-Party Integration:

  • Purolator
    • We have added a new option called "Saturday Delivery" so initiate the weekend delivery on the Purolator platform. The default value is "No".

Franchise Account:

  • Bulk Move Stock
    • You can now send stock in the decimal in "StockQuantity" as long as the settings "Allow Decimals in Quantity" is set to "Yes"
