System Update - January 2022 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Settings:

  • General
    • Daily/Monthly Sales Report Based On
      • We have now added the option to display the sales report data based on the following 2 options.
        • When Invoice is Created: This will show the data based on when the invoice was created. 
        • When Last Payment is Made: This will show the data based on when the last payment was made. This is the default option.
  • Customer
    • Terms For Customer Setup
      • You can now add the terms which will be shown during the customer creation process from the front end.
    • Default "Can create tickets in bulk?"
      • This option will allow you to set the default value of "Can create tickets in bulk?" during the creation of the customer from the backend and front end.
    • Default "Set Ticket Created By"
      • This option will allow you to set the default value of "Set Ticket Created By" during the creation of the customer from the backend and front end. When the "Default Can create tickets in bulk?" is set to "Yes" then you must select "Default Set Ticket Created By".
  • Template Editor
    • Customer Portal Activation Email
      • If you're allowing customer creation from the customer portal then this template will be used for the activation process.

Leads Manager

  • Saved Search
    • You can use the Saved Search feature to save the defined search criteria to ease your search experience. This allows you to quickly perform a search without needing to manually enter all of the search conditions each time. You can create, modify, and delete a saved search. As soon as you created a saved search, there will be a new drop-down on the search form which will list all of the saved searches.
    • You can also share your saved searches that you think may be useful to other staff members.
    • Please note that you already have a "Saved Search" feature in the tickets, customers, products, estimates and purchase orders.
  • Activity Boxes
    • If your "Saved Search" is enabled to show in the "Activity Boxes" then it will be shown here, please note that the purchase order does not have any default "Activity Boxes".
  • You can now delete a lead from the modify screen as we have added a button. Please note that there is already an option to delete one lead or in bulk on the leads manager.

Estimates:

  • Line Item Discount
    • We have now added the option to allow you to add a line item discount, please note that you already have a discount option that applies to all the line items but now you can use both.
  • We have added the following fields in the "Search Form" which will allow you to filter the data accordingly. The following fields are related to "Product/Services".
    • Supplier
    • VAT
    • Model
    • Brand
    • Category
    • Condition
    • Name
  • You can now delete an estimate from the modify screen as we have added an option in the "Actions" menu. Please note that there is already an option to delete one estimate or in bulk on the estimate manager.

Tickets:

  • Line Item Discount
    • We have now added the option to allow you to add a line item discount, please note that you already have a discount option that applies to all the line items but now you can use both.
  • Import Tickets
    • You may have some custom field "Categories" and in those categories, some custom fields might be with the same label, so now when you import we have added the custom field category name in the column header so you can easily distinguish between the labels e.g. "Laptop_Serial Number"  and "IMac_Serial Number", previously it was like "Serial Number", "Serial Number".
  • Export Tickets
    • Now when you download the tickets we have added the category name in the column headers such e.g. "Laptop_Serial Number"  and "IMac_Serial Number".

Customer Manager:

  • We have made the following changes related to the customer portal to give you a bit more overview.
    • If the customer portal account is activated then we show the green icon otherwise it will be a red icon on the customer manager.
    • When you modify the customer we show the date when the portal account was activated and when they were last logged in.

Product Manager:

  • Models
    • Model Groups
      • You can now create groups and put different models in a group. This will allow you to manage the models better via the API interface.
      • The groups association between the model is only here and API level it’s not carried out to the products.
    • Import/Export
      • We have added a new column called "Group Name" for the model association. Please note that this field is not required.

Purchase Order:

  • Defective Parts
    • You can now see all the "Defective Parts" logged via the POS interface in the "RMA - Defective Parts" section.

Sales:

  • Recurring Invoices
    • Line Item Discount
      • We have now added the option to allow you to add a line item discount, please note that you already have a discount option that applies to all the line items but now you can use both.
    • We have added the following fields in the "Search Form" which will allow you to filter the data accordingly some are related to dates and some are related to products.
      • Last Run Between
      • Next Run Between
      • Paused (Yes/No)
      • The following fields are related to "Product/Services".
        • Name
        • Condition
        • Category
        • Brand
        • Model
        • VAT
        • Supplier

Reports:

  • Daily Sales
    • We have also added the drop-down called "Daily/Monthly Sales Report Based On" so if you want to change it then you can.
  • Monthly Sales
    • We have also added the drop-down called "Daily/Monthly Sales Report Based On" so if you want to change it then you can.
  • Payments Report
    • We have added the following options in the grouping. This will allow you to group the payments by Day, Week, Month or even a year.

      • Year
  • Staff Time Log Report
    • We have added the following options in the grouping.
      • User, Day
      • User, Week
      • User, Month
      • User, Year

Customer Portal:

  • Pay Your Invoice
    • If you have more than one payment integration then the customer can now choose which one to use e.g. you may have "Stripe" and "PayPal" enabled now the customer can choose which one to use to make the payment.

POS Interface:

  • Line Item Discount
    • We have now added the option to allow you to add a line item discount, please note that you already have a discount option that applies to all the line items but now you can use both.
  • Breakage and Defective Parts
    • You can now use the POS interface to log "Breakages" and "Defective" parts.

API Interface:

  • /dailySales
    • We have added a new element called "payments" which will have all the payments taken on that day.
  • /monthlySales
    • We have added a new element called "payments" which will have all the payments taken on that month.
  • /models - GET
    • We have added a new element called "model_group" which will have the model group association.
    • We have added the option to search by the following fields.
      • make
      • model
      • model_group
  • /models - POST
    • You can now send "model_group" to create the group association.
  • /models/{modelId} - GET
    • We have added a new element called "model_group" which will have the model group association.
  • /models/{modelId} - PUT
    • You can now send "model_group" to update the group association.
  • /modelGroups - GET (New Endpoint)
    • We have added a new endpoint to list all the model groups.
  • /modelGroups/{groupId} - GET (New Endpoint)
    • We have added a new endpoint to show the detail of individual model groups.
