System Update - February 2022 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Dashboard:

  • Quick Links
    • We have added the following 2 new tiles related to purchase orders.
      • PO Items Not Serialized: This will list all the PO items that have been allocated but not yet serialized.
      • PO Items Not Allocated: This will list all the PO items where you have received the stock but that stock still needs allocation.

Settings:

  • General
    • Auto Print POS Receipt
      • You can enable/disable auto print of the POS receipts. You may have a scenario where you are using cloud printing and you don't want the POS receipt to auto print.
  • Product
    • Auto Calculate Price from Margin
      • We have added the option to set the default value of "Auto Calculate Price from Margin" via the settings, if enabled then it will be set to "Yes" on the product page.
    • Purchase Orders
      • Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity
        • You can now add decimals in the purchase order's line items. Please note that you can already use the decimals in the POS and Tickets.
    • Indicate Price Override With
      • We have expanded the previous option called "Show Override Change" and replaced it with "Indicate Price Override With" with the following options.
        • Nothing: This will not show * or strikethrough on the price
        • *: Just the *
        • ̶£̶2̶5̶   £15: Just the strikethrough on the price
        • * ̶£̶2̶5̶   £15: * and strikethrough on the price
  • Template Editor > Labels
    • We have added a new template called "Product Label" that will allow you to control the layout of the product labels. You can add "Additional Templates" as well.

Estimates:

  • Copy/Clone/Duplicate Existing Estimate
    • You can now copy/clone/duplicate an existing estimate which will speed up the whole estimate process.
  • If notification no 25 is enabled then you will get a message on the screen to let you know the date and time when the estimate will be sent via email to the customer so you can finalise the estimate before that time.

Tickets:

  • Search Form
    • Customer Group
      • We have added a new field in the search form called "Customer Group" that will allow you to list tickets related to selected customer groups. Please note that this field can be used in the "Saved Search" as well.
    • Updated Between Dates
      • We have added an option in the search form to search tickets based on when they were last updated. Please note that this field can be used in the "Saved Search" as well.
    • Show Tickets with Running Timers
      • We have added a new field in the search form called "Show Tickets with Running Timers" that will allow you to list all the tickets where the ticket timer is running, Please note that this field can be used in the "Saved Search" as well.
  • "Weight Averaged Stock" Enabled Items
    • If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled and the product has no stock then the system will not let you sell that item on the POS interface.
  • Update Ticket Comment's Created Date
    • We have added an option to allow you to update the created date of any ticket comments. There might be a case when you need to backdate the comment. Please note that this option is ONLY available to shop admins.
  • Update Ticket Comment's Created By
    • We have added an option to allow you to update the created by of any ticket comments. There might be a case when you need to change who added it. Please note that this option is ONLY available to shop admins.
  • Create Purchase Order
    • If the ticket line items have decimals and you create a purchase order from the ticket it will take the decimal values to the purchase order automatically.
  • Parts Orders
    • Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals in the parts order quantity.

Product Manager:

  • Delete Product Column on Product Manager
    • We have now combined the "Delete" and "Bulk Product Update" checkboxes into one to gain the extra space. The process is still the same if you want to delete multiple products then you use the checkbox to select and then click on "Delete Product".
  • Auto Calculate Price from Margin
    • You can now enable/disable the "Auto Calculate Price from Margin". The default value is Enabled.
  • COG Based on "Weight Averaged Stock"
    • We have added another way to calculate the Cost of Goods which is based on "Weight Averaged Stock".
    • In accounting, the Weighted Average Cost (WAC) method of inventory valuation uses a weighted average to determine the amount that goes into COGS and inventory. The weighted average cost method divides the cost of goods available for sale by the number of units available for sale. This is frequently the case when the inventory items in question are identical to one another. 
  • Add Stock with "Weight Averaged Stock"
    • If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled then the "Add Stock" button from the "Product Manager" will "Auto Calculate" the new "WAC OF Product" for you based on what has been sold and what's remaining. This is the ONLY interface where it will auto calculate.
  • Add Stock Tab 
    • If you add stock from the "Add Stock Tab" then you can add "COG Per Item" but it will not calculate the new "WAC OF Product".
  • Stock Info Tab 
    • The stock info tab now has the following two columns related to the "Weight Averaged Stock".
      • COG Per Item
      • Batch Cost
  • Import/Export 
    • Changes related to "Weight Averaged Stock"
  • Bulk Product Update
    • We have added the following field in the form so you can use them as bulk product update.
      • Weight Averaged Stock
  • Search Form/Saved Search
    • We have added the following 2 fields in the form so you can use them in a search or create a "Saved Search".
      • Auto Calculate Price from Margin
      • Weight Averaged Stock
  • Product Labels
    • Product labels are now based on the "Product Label" template. This will allow you to have full control over the product label design. The system also allows you to choose from "Default" or "Additional Templates" as you may want to use different templates for some products or categories.

Purchase Order:

  • We have added a new column called "Serialized" which will show the number of items that need serializing and another value that will show what has been serialized so far e.g. 10/5 would mean that PO has 10 item which needs serialization and out of that 5 has been.
  • Search Form
    • We have added the following 2 new options in the search form.
      • Show Not Allocated Yet: This will list all the PO items that have been allocated but not yet serialized.
      • Show Not Serialised Yet: This will list all the PO's where you have received the stock but still need to allocate the stock.
  • Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity
    • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals in the line items.
  • Allocate Stock
    • If you add stock from the "Allocate Stock" then the line item "Cost Price" will be stored as "COG Per Item" but it will not calculate the new "WAC OF Product".
    • We now allow you to allocate the stock in decimals.
  • Partial Received
    • If you add stock from the "Partial Received" then the line item "Cost Price" will be stored as "COG Per Item" but it will not calculate the new "WAC OF Product".
    • We now allow you to partially receive stock quantity  in decimals.
    • You can now serialize the partially received stock from the "Partial Received" interface.
  • Back Orders
    • We now allow you to add back orders quantity in decimals the same rule applies when the system creates purchase orders from backorders automatically.
  • Low Stock
    • We now allow you to add low stock quantity in decimals the same rule applies when the system creates purchase orders from the low stock automatically.
  • Received Timeline View
    • If the received stock was in decimals then "Received Timeline View" will show the quantity accordingly.

Sales:

  • Recurring Invoices
    • Copy/Clone/Duplicate Existing Recurring Invoices
      • You can now copy/clone/duplicate an existing recurring invoice which will speed up the whole recurring invoices process.
    • Delete Recurring Invoices
      • You can now delete recurring invoices as long as the recurring frequency hasn't occurred yet.

Reports:

POS Interface:

  • "Weight Averaged Stock" Enabled Items
    • If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled and the product has no stock then the system will not let you sell that item on the POS interface.
  • Create Purchase Order
    • If the pos line items have decimals and you create a purchase order from pos it will take the decimal values to the purchase order automatically.

API Interface:

  • /tickets
    • If you don't send the 'status' then by default tickets in the pipeline will be returned.
  • /ticketTimers
    • We have added a new element called "running" which will determine if that particular entry is still running.
    • You can also use "running" as a parameter in the "GET" method which will list all the "running" ticket timers. You may need to list all the running ones.
  • /product 
    • POST
      • We have added a new input variable called "stock_cog_per_item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item.
    • PUT
      • We have added a new input variable called "stock_cog_per_item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item.
  • /stock
    • GET
      • We have added a new element called "cog_per_item" which will show the cost of the good of that batch.
    • POST
      • We have added a new input variable called "stock_cog_per_item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item. If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled then it will "Auto Calculate" the new "WAC OF Product" for you based on what has been sold and what's remaining.
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals to the quantity.
    • PUT
      • We have added a new input variable called "stock_cog_per_item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item. If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled then it will "Auto Calculate" the new "WAC OF Product" for you based on what has been sold and what's remaining.
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals to the quantity.

    • POST
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals in the quantity which is in the "products" array.
    • PUT
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals in the quantity which is in the "add_products" array.
      • If "Allow Decimals in Purchase Quantity" is enabled then the system will allow you to add decimals in the quantity which is in the "update_products" array.

        • We have added a new action called "New Stock" which will allow you to add new stock entries. If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled then it will "Auto Calculate" the new "WAC OF Product" for you based on what has been sold and what's remaining. 
      • Update Stock - New Trigger
        • We have added a new action called "Update Stock" which will allow you to update existing stock entries. If "Weight Averaged Stock" is enabled then it will "Auto Calculate" the new "WAC OF Product" for you based on what has been sold and what's remaining. 
      • Delete Stock - New Trigger
        • We have added a new action called "Delete Stock" that will allow you to delete any existing stock.
      • Find Stock - New Trigger
        • We have added a new action called "Find Stock" that will allow you to search in the stock data.
      • Find Time Clock - New Trigger
        • We have added a new action called "Find Time Clock" which will allow you to find entries in the time clock data.
      • Find Ticket Timer Log - New Trigger
        • We have added a new action called "Find Ticket Timer Log" which will allow you to find entries in the ticket timer log data.
      • Create Product 
        • We have added a new input field called "Stock COG Per Item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item.
      • Update Product
        • We have added a new input field called "Stock COG Per Item" which will allow you to set the stock cost of goods per item.
    • Changes related to "Weight Averaged Stock"
  • UPS Integration
    • We have added the following new option called “Both (Dimensions/Weight)” in the "Sizes/Weights" field that will allow you to set sizes and weight at the same time. We have added the same option in the app integration as well so you can set the default option.
