System Update - December 2019 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Settings:

  • -- Manage Taxes
    • We have added a Tax Manager to manage all your tax entries. Previously you only had the option o add or update tax entries.
    • Enable multiple tax rates (GST,PST,HST)
      • We have added an option to enable (GST,PST,HST) tax rates. Please read this kb article for more details.
      • We now show separate taxes on the followings if they are grouped.
        • Customer receipts.
        • Ticket Invoices.
        • POS Invoices.
  • -- Choose which field to show on the customer form
    • You can now choose which filed to display on the customer form along with the order.
  • -- Captcha Verification For Customers
    • We have now added an option to disable image verification on the customer portal.
  • -- Copy/Sync Shop Settings - Franchise Admin
    • We have added the following additional options in the "Shop Sync" process.
      • General
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "General" tab.
      • Invoices
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Invoices" tab.
      • Tickets
        • System Ticket Status - Option to update the system ticket statuses in the destination shop.
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Tickets" tab.
      • Customer
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Customer" tab.
      • Products
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Products" tab.
      • Notifications
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Notifications" tab.
      • Navigation
        • Everything else? - This will sync all the other options within the "Navigation" tab.
      • 3rd-Party Apps
        • You can now sync 3rd party apps across all your shops.
      • Misc
        • Payment Methods
          • You can now sync payment methods across all your shops.

Tickets:

  • Create a Letter
    • We have added an option to create letters from ticket interface. Once the letter is created it will be stored as a document. You can choose if you want to make it "Public" or "Private".
    • You can also use canned responses when composing a letter. It's best to add a new category in the canned responses called "Letters".
  • Presets
    • You can now add a picture to a preset like a profile picture which is useful if you're populating the presets on your website.

    • We have added an option to enable (GST,PST,HST) tax rates. Please read this kb article for more details.

Products:

  • Product Dropdown
    • We have now made the product drop-down same as customer drop-down throughout the system, as soon as you type 3 letters it will display the list of products match your text. 
  • Product Drop down Template
    • You can now choose the way product dropdown looks in term of it's values. We have given the following short codes to choose from.
      {product_type}: {product_code} - {supplier_code} - {price_ex_vat} - {product_model} {product_name} ({stock_available}) {price_inc_vat} {product_make}

Reports:

  • Tax Report
    • We have added a new report to list your tax values within a timeframe.
  • Portal Accounts Created
    • We have added a new report to list all the customers with "Customer Portal" accounts.
  • Portal Accounts NOT Created
    • We have added a new report to list all the customers without "Customer Portal" accounts.

Customer Manager:

  • Choose which field to show on the customer form
    • You can now choose which filed to display on the customer form along with the order.
  • Search by "Created Account?"
    • You can now search all the customers that have created the customer portal account or not.
    • We are now showing an icon next to the customer name if they have created the customer portal account to make it easier for the staff.

POS Interface:

  • Enable multiple tax rates (GST,PST,HST)
    • We have added an option to enable (GST,PST,HST) tax rates. Please read this kb article for more details.

Customer Display:

  • Ticket pricing on the customer display
    • We now show the ticket pricing on the customer display, previously we were only showing the POS pricing to the cusotmer.

API Interface:

  • Preset Endpoint
    • We are now showing the preset profile picture URL in the feed.

3rd-Party Integration:

  • e-boekhouden Integration
    • My Gadget Repairs provides a seamless e-boekhouden.nl Online integration. With this integration, you can exchange your client, product, ledger and invoice data with e-boekhouden.nl.

      • Updates in client details will automatically reflect in e-boekhouden.nl
      • Automatically sync products and ledgers
      • Invoices created in MGR will be synchronized to e-boekhouden.nl Online automatically
      • Sync existing clients, products and ledgers during the integration.
