System Update - August 2021 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Dashboard:

  • We have added "Purchase Order" figures in the "Sales Progression" section. This will show the figures for "Ordered" purchase orders.
  • We have also added an option to manage the "Dashboard" sections. You can now show/hide each section as well as move them up and down. Please note that this setting is user-based. The followings are the section.

Settings:

  • Product Tab
    • Product Dropdown Template
      • We have added 2 new tags to show product cost price including vat and excluding vat.
        • {cost_inc_vat}
        • {cost_ex_vat}
    • Purchase Order Expense Category
      • We have added an option to add purchase order's payments to an expense category for tracking purposes.
    • Enable Purchase Order Payments
      • We have added an option to enable "Payments" on the purchase orders. Please note that the default value is "No". If the payment is enabled then the value will go as an expense in the chosen "Purchase Order Expense Category".
  • Template Editor
    • We added a new tag called "[ITEM_LINE]" to allow you to manage the columns and the data when we show the item lines on the invoices, receipts etc. This tag allows you to configure almost everything. Please read this kb article for more information.
    • We have added the following 2 tags to the templates.
      • [CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME]
      • [CUSTOMER_LAST_NAME]
  • Notifications
    • We have added the following 2 tags in the notifications.
      • [CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME]
      • [CUSTOMER_LAST_NAME]

Estimates:

  • Product/Services Dropdown
    • We have added 2 new tags to show product cost price including vat and excluding vat.
      • {cost_inc_vat}
      • {cost_ex_vat}

Tickets:

  • Product/Services Dropdown
    • We have added 2 new tags to show product cost price including vat and excluding vat.
      • {cost_inc_vat}
      • {cost_ex_vat}

Customer Manager:

  • Customer Purchase
    • We have now added the "Custom Payment Methods" on the customer purchase payment interface.
    • We have also added the option to search by "Paid By".

Purchase Order:

  • You can now change the purchase order's created date during the modify process. This will allow you to backdate purchase orders if needed.
  • Payments in Purchase Orders
    • You can now perform "Take Payment" actions in the purchase orders as long as you have enabled "Enable Purchase Order Payments" in the shop settings. Custom payment methods will be automatically added as a payment option.
    • You can make them full or partially paid.
    • We also show the remaining balance if partially paid.
    • We have also added the option to search by "Paid By".
  • Expense Manager
    • We have added "Search Form" so you easily search in the expense data.
    • We have added a new column called "Expense Category" when we list all the expenses.
    • We have also added a new field called "VAT Amount" so you can log the tax amount.
    • If the expense is related to a customer purchase then we have added a link to take you straight to the customer purchase.
    • If the expense is related to a purchase order then we have added a link to take you straight to the purchase order.

Reports:

  • Daily Sales
    • We have added "Expense VAT" to show the vat/tax amount.
    • Purchase order figures are only shown if it's fully or partially paid.
  • Monthly Sales
    • We have added "Expense VAT" to show the vat/tax amount.
    • Purchase order figures are only shown if it's fully or partially paid.

POS Interface:

  • Product/Services Dropdown
    • We have added 2 new tags to show product cost price including vat and excluding vat.

Franchise Account:

  • Dashboard

    • ModelMember - New Endpoint
      • GET -  This allows you to show the individual model data.
      • PUT - This allows you to update existing models.
      • DELETE - This allows you to delete an existing model.
    • ModelCollection 
      • POST - This allows you to add/create new models.
    • BrandMember  - New Endpoint
      • GET -  This allows you to show the individual brand data.
      • PUT - This allows you to update existing brands.
      • DELETE - This allows you to delete an existing brand.
    • BrandCollection
      • POST - This allows you to add/create new brands.
    • CategoryMember - New Endpoint
      • GET -  This allows you to show the individual category data.
      • PUT - This allows you to update existing categories.
      • DELETE - This allows you to deletes an existing category.
    • CategoryCollection
      • POST - This allows you to add/create new categories.
  • ExpenseCollection - /expenses
    • We have added "vat_amount" to show the vat/tax values.
  • DailySales - /dailySales
    • We have added "total_expenses_vat" to show the vat/tax values.
  • MonthlySales - /monthlySales
    • We have added "total_expenses_vat" to show the vat/tax values.

3rd-Party Integration:

    • We have added the following new "Actions".
      • Find Model - Finds the model and if doesn't exist then creates one.
      • Create Model - This allows you to add/create new models.
      • Update Model - This allows you to update existing models.
      • Delete Model - This allows you to delete an existing model.
      • Find Brand - Finds the brand and if doesn't exist then creates one.
      • Create Brand - This allows you to add/create new brands.
      • Update Brand - This allows you to update existing brands.
      • Delete Brand - This allows you to delete an existing brand.
      • Find Category - Finds the brand and if doesn't exist then creates one.
      • Create Category - This allows you to add/create new categories.
