System Update - August 2019 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Settings:

  • --  Public API
  • -- Show Customer's custom fields in the main tab
    • If you want to show the customer custom fields in the main tab rather than "Additional Information "There an option in the shop settings now show custom fields in the main tab.
  • -- Hide cost and margin columns on the product manager
    • You can now show/hide cost and margin on the product manager.The default value is yes.
  • -- Daily Sales Target
    • We have added an option to set a daily sales target. Define sales targets to create the most efficient environment for your sales team. A sales target (quota) is a target sales reps are set, sales target (quotas) are set in money figures and if you are managing a sales team, you most likely want to reach your sales quota.

  • -- Notifications No 17 - Notify customer when a repair was completed and it's ready to be picked up
    • We have added the option called "Remind Customers on a Weekly Basis" to remind customers on weekly basis if they have forgotten to pick up their devices and ticket status is set to either “Completed”, “Not Repairable” or “Repair not Required”.
  • -- Bought From Required (Yes/No)
    • Option to make "Bought From" required or not, sometimes you want to add used item in the inventory which you have not bought from a customer, in such a case you can make bought from not required. Default is enabled.
  • -- Show pending tickets when Search in the top bar
    • We have added an option to show ONLY pending ticket when searching in the top "Search all things".
  • -- New Custom field type called "IMEI"
    • There is a new custom field called "IMEI" in the custom field type, all the add-ons related to IMEI can be triggered by this custom field.
  • -- New Custom field type called "Licence Plate"
    • There is a new custom field called "Licence Plate" in the custom field type, all the 3rd-party integrations related with Licence Plate can be triggered by this custom field.

Templates Manager

  • Preset itemised (Yes/No)
    • We have added an option where you set how to show the preset items, by default it is set to itemised however by setting to "No" will print the preset name in the invoices, ticket receipts and estimates rather than individual products.

Calendar:

  • Create a ticket directly from an appointment
    • We have added an option to create a ticket directly from an appointment if you do this then system will automatically associate the appointment with the ticket.

Tickets:

  • Repair Presets
    • You can now define attributes of a repair, including the parts you need, paperwork in terms of intake and out-take forms, legal documents along with a how-to guide for your technicians, infect "Repair Presets" are what types of repairs you offer to your customers.
    • Your staff can create tickets directly from the "Repair Presets"  and ticket interface will know what you need in terms of paperwork, products etc.
    • When your technicians are doing the repair they can click on "How To Guide" for more information.
    • You can also import your existing presets via a csv file.
    • There is a "Check-in via Wizard" button to help you filter the preset based on  "Brand", "Model" and issue type.

  • Attach POS invoice with ticket
    • We have added an option to attach POS invoices with a ticket. Customer may have bought something via POS which is related to that ticket.

Products:

  • Bought From Required (Yes/No)
    • Option to make "Bought From" required or not, sometimes you want to add used item in the inventory which you have not bought from a customer, in such a case you can make "Bought from" not required. Default is enabled.
  • Currency Conversion in "Product Market Price"
    • We have added an option of "Currency Converter" in the "Product Market Price" which allows you to convert "Sell Price", "Cash Price" and "Trade in / Customer Credit" prices.

Stock Manager

  • Stock Count - Count Inventory with Barcode Scanner
    • First, you need to make sure that all inventory is labelled. If you receive inventory from a manufacturer, and it is already labelled with a barcode, you can use existing labels. If you receive unlabeled materials, or you produce part of your inventory in-house, it is a good practice to label all inventory items as they are produced or when they are received in the warehouse. Labelling is the first necessary step for proper accounting of all materials, parts and inventory that you purchase, produce and/or sell.
    • Once inventory is all labelled and its time for a stock count, please go to Stock Adjustment page where you can start scanning the product codes. On the same page system will show you the current stock count. Once finished just click on the “Add Stock Adjustment” button.
    • Please remember that you can also scan the "Serialised barcodes" as well.
    • You can also use the FREE bar code scanners app, most of them have the option to export the data to csv. In some, you can even create the export template to match with MGR.
  • Stock Count - Added the option to flag as "Internal Use"
    • You may have a situation where you had to use the stock for "Internal Use", in such a case please use the "Internal Use" flag while doing the stock adjustments.

Reports:

  • Daily Sales Target Report
    • Setting goals is the first step to turning your sales target into a tangible plan. Transform your sales team into a starving sales machine by setting actionable goals. Start tracking sales goals to spark a healthy competition and motivate everyone in your team to go above and beyond.
  • Daily Transactions Report
    • We have added daily sales targets in the daily transfection report.
  • Daily Sales Report
    • We have added daily sales targets in the daily sales report.
  • Monthly Sales Report
    • We have added daily sales targets in the monthly sales report.

Customer Manager:

  • Profile Picture
    • We have added the option to upload customer's picture.
  • Show custom fields in the main tab
    • You can now show custom fields in the main tab.

Customer Portal:

  • Profile Picture
    • We have added the option to upload customer's picture.

Notifications:

3rd-Party Integration:

  • Twindis

  • RDW License Plate
    • Convert a license plate to a brand, model, year of construction and other information? Open RDW actually collects all available vehicle data in the Netherlands. Ticket preset wizard, create a new ticket and modify existing ticket interfaces are integrated with RDW licence plate if enables which make it much easier.
    • Invoices and ticket receipts show the licence plate.
    • You can also search by licence plates in the whole MGR system.
  • KVK - Kamer van Koophandel
    • The KVK API provides you with a lot of convenience and efficiency gains and prevents unnecessary errors. For a connection to the Chamber of Commerce API, you can digitally register via KVK.
  • XERO - Import Suppliers from XERO
    • You can now import suppliers from XERO during the integration process which makes the whole process much easier.
  • QUICKBOOKS- Import Suppliers from QUICKBOOKS
    • You can now import suppliers from QUICKBOOKS during the integration process which makes the whole process much easier.
  • QUICKBOOKS- Sync Historic data
    • Now you have the option to sync historic data to QUICKBOOKS with one click of a button.
  • VOIP/PBX Call Handling
