System Update - April 2021 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.

Settings:

  • Product > Allow Decimals in Quantity
    • We have added an option to allow decimals in the quantity. Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal qty like 0.25 etc. In some cases, you may want to sell the items like 1.5 etc, this would be very useful when you're selling labour etc. By default, the 'Quantity' field does not allow decimal places.
  • Product > Purchase Orders
    • Items Peek Preview
      • We have added an option to see the peak view of the purchase order items when you are on the purchase order manager. This way you can quickly see the item lines and you don't need to modify the purchase order to see them.
  • Inbound Email Rules
    • You can now convert incoming emails into tickets by setting inbound email rules.
    • The interface will allow you to set the following fields in the rules.
      • From Email Address: The system will match the inbound emails' "From" address. Please note this field is required.
      • Subject: If you want the system to match the subject.
      • Assign to Technician: If you have selected a technician then the ticket will be automatically assigned to that technician.
      • Notify On Error: Enable this if you want to notify someone via an email
      • Notify To - Email Address: Where to send the notification email to in the case of the error.
      • Email Body Mapping: For ticket creation, you will need to read the body of the email so the system will allow you to map the "Customer" and "Ticket" fields including the custom fields. Please note that mapping is required.
      • Order: Order of the rules, which one to run first.
      • Stop Processing more rules: If you have 2 rules matching one condition then it will run the first rule. In some cases, you may end with 2 identical rules, this way the system will stop the 2nd rule and you will not end up with 2 the same tickets.
    • You can create as many rules on one mailbox.
    • There is an option to "Copy Template" which will list all the mapping fields.
    • The system will monitor inbound email rules and if it matches it will create the ticket and apply the configuration set in the rule.

Shop Account:

  • Search All Things
    • We have added a new tab that will list "Bundles" if matched the search string.
    • Search all things now searches in the "Payment Notes" as well.

Franchise Account:

  • Product Manager
    • Bundle Manager
      • You can now manage product bundles from the franchise account.
  • Search All Things
    • We have added a new tab that will list "Bundles" if matched the search string.
    • Search all things now searches in the "Payment Notes" as well.

Estimates:

  • Allow Decimals in Quantity
    • Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal quantity like 0.25, 1.5, 6.5 etc. Please make sure that you have enabled the "Allow Decimals in Quantity" in the Settings > Products.

Tickets:

  • Allow Decimals in Quantity
    • Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal quantity like 0.25, 1.5, 6.5 etc. Please make sure that you have enabled the "Allow Decimals in Quantity" in the Settings > Products.

Purchase Order:

  • Items Peek Preview
    • We have added an option to see the peak view of the purchase order items when you are on the purchase order manager. This way you can quickly see the item lines and you don't need to modify the purchase order to see them.
  • Items Column
    • We have added a new column called "Items" which will tell you the number of item lines in the purchase order. This column is available in all the exports as well.

Sales:

  • Recurring Invoices
    • Allow Decimals in Quantity
      • Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal quantity like 0.25, 1.5, 6.5 etc. Please make sure that you have enabled the "Allow Decimals in Quantity" in the Settings > Products.

Reports:

  • Product Report
    • We have added a new column called "Category" which can be exported as well.
  • Payment Report
    • We have added a new column called "Payment Reference" which can be exported as well.

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Include Email Wrapper
    • We have added an option to include or exclude "Email Wrapper" in the marketing emails, there might be a time when your email is HTML based and you don't want to include the email wrapper.
  • Manual Campaign
    • We have added the following 2 search forms as well which will enable you to search in the "POS Sales" and "Ticket invoices", at times you might want to trigger the email based on what they have bought.
      • POS Sales
      • Ticket Invoices
  • Delete Campaign
    • You can have the option to delete the campaign as long as it has not been sent. As soon as it has been sent once you will not have the option to delete the campaign.

POS Interface:

  • Allow Decimals in Quantity
    • Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal quantity like 0.25, 1.5, 6.5 etc. Please make sure that you have enabled the "Allow Decimals in Quantity" in the Settings > Products.
  • POS Hold
    • Allow Decimals in Quantity
      • Decimal Quantity allows the item to be purchased in decimal quantity like 0.25, 1.5, 6.5 etc. Please make sure that you have enabled the "Allow Decimals in Quantity" in the Settings > Products.

3rd-Party Integration:

  • Quick Books
    • Allow Decimals in Quantity
      • Decimal in the quantity is now carried over to the quick books.
  • Xero
    • Allow Decimals in Quantity
      • Decimal in the quantity is now carried over to the Xero.
  • Sage
    • Allow Decimals in Quantity
      • Decimal in the quantity is now carried over to the sage.
