System Update - April 2019 - Discover the latest updates to My Gadget Repairs

As always, our team’s core focus is to deliver a seamless experience for our users. We have been busy working on product improvements over the past month and wanted to share a few highlights.This update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

Settings:

  • Tickets / Products / Customer
    • -- Staff Types who can not Add Data into Custom Fields
      • Option to disable the ability to add data in the custom fields while creating tickets, products or customers. By default everyone can add data in the custom fields.
    • -- Staff Types who can not Update Data into Custom Fields
      • Option to disable the ability to modify data in the custom fields while modifying tickets, products or customers. By default everyone can add data in the custom fields.
  • -- Can't resolve ticket if loaned device pending
    • Added an option so you can't set the ticket status to "Resolved / Picked up" until loaned device has been returned.
  • -- Paid invoice is required to "Resolve/Picked up"
    • Staff can not "Resolve/Picked up" the ticket until there is an invoice and its paid.
  • --  
    • Added the option to include images with the line items on invoices, ticket receipt, pos receipt and estimates.
  • --  
    • Added the option to include product description with the line items on invoices, ticket receipt, pos receipt and estimates.
  • -- Default Comment Type
    • Option to set the default comments type "Public" or "Private".
  • -- Franchise Manager
    • Repair Center Concept
      • Now you can set one shop as a repair center and enable this shop to see all the tickets from other shops, this option is very useful when you have one of your shop as a repair center and they do all the repairs. Each shop will create tickets as normal but "Repair Center" can see all the tickets from one login so they can process the repairs. From "Repair Center" you can assign the tickets to each tech as normal. It works exactly the same way as "Warehouse" concept where all the stock goes to one location and then it gets distributed among all the shops.
  • -- Time zone
    • Please make sure that your shop is set to the correct timezone as we have found so many shops with incorrect timezone.

Tickets:

  • Can't resolve ticket if loaned device pending
    • System will prevent you making the ticket  "Resolved / Picked up" if customer has not returned the loaned device.
  • Ticket Import
    • Added the option to use semi colon ";" as a delimiter.
  • Import Loaned Devices
    • We have added an option to import loaned devices.
  •  Paid invoice is required to "Resolve/Picked up"
    • Staff can not "Resolve/Picked up" the ticket until there is an invoice and its paid.
  • Repair Center Concept

Products:

  • Product / Service - Labor
    • We have separated product and service so its easy to manage, also you don't need stock in the product type labor.
  • Products Import / Stock Take Process
    • Added the option to use semi colon ";" as a delimiter.

Estimates:

  • Added "Expired" counters in estimate's activity boxes (Current Month, Previous Month), 
  • Added an option in the search section to "Hide Expired" estimates, its in on by default.
  • Added ability to add "Canned Response".

Customer Manager:

  • Customer Token
    • We have streamlined the token process to make your staff's life easy. Now you can add individual items via the token process and can be converted to a "Customer Purchase" by a click of a button.
  • Customer Purchase
    • Added the option to add "Bulk Items" via the customer purchase interface, customer purchase process is now same as the "Customer Token".
  • Market Price
    • Now you can also search by the product bar codes. When you buying items just scan the barcode to get the market price.
  • Customer Import
    • Added the option to use semi colon ";" as a delimiter.

Notifications:

  • Email to shop admin when an estimate is expiring in 24 hours
